Make a difference by raising money to unite families and children affected by Hemiplegia
At Hemichat, we are very proud to be supported by organisations such as Lloyds TSB Banking, Shell UK, Santander and Legal & General .
The following are details of some of the support from our community fundraising events.
Massive Thank You and Well done to Gary Haley, who is the grandfather of one of our Hemi children, and his fellow beard growers – Brian Wetherall, Gary Baldwin, Liam Fitzpatrick, Jon Langthorne and Mick Unwin. They took on the challenge of growing beards over 12 weeks and raised a massive £3420.75 (inc Gift Aid). Special thanks also to their employer, National Grid, who match funded their totals
Thank you to Brenda Potter and Tracy Blackburn, who ran a tombola and plant sale stall at North Point Shopping Centre in Hull, in aid of HemiChat, raising £201!
We were delighted to have the support of the Storm Troopers and Darth Vader from the 99th Garrison, and Phones 4U at a bucket collection in Wrexham. Their help in drawing in the crowds raised £354.70.
Well Done and Thank You to one of our mums, Andrea Tipper, and her sister who ran the Sutton 13k in aid of HemiChat, raising £256.25 and finishing in a great time of 1 hour 45 mins!
Thank you to one of our mums, Jo Needler, who held a cake sale in aid of HemiChat and raised £257!
Huge Thank You to one of our mums, Nikki Moxam, who jumped out a plane in aid of HemiChat. Nikki’s skydive raised £335.66 inc gift aid!
Thank You to one of our mums, Krin O’Rourke, and her family who ran a tombola stall at the Baldock Street Festival as part of Krin’s dad, Leonard Speck, year of fundraising for HemiChat. They raised £275 to add to their ongoing total!
Thank you to Legal & General, and one of our mums, Karin Wooden, who organised a Dress Down Day bucket collection and Awareness Merchandise Sale at their offices in Surrey. They raised an amazing £3375.74!
Massive Thank You to Sharon McCulloch, who ran the London Marathon in aid of HemiChat for the second year in row. Sharon raising an amazing £742.25!
Thank you to one of our mums, Leanne White, who held a cake and Hemiplegia merchandise awareness sale in aid of HemiChat, raising £295!
Massive Thank You to the Credit Department of MBNA/Bank of America in Chester who chose HemiChat as their Charity of the Year. They held a variety of fundraising events throughout the year and we were very humbled to collect a cheque for £3825.85 at a special presentation.
Thank you to St John’s Primary in Baldock, who held a ‘Wear Purple Day’ in aid of HemiChat and Hemiplegia Awareness. Here is our fundraising manager’s son, Thomas Rathband, with his sister, Eliza, sporting purple. A total of £232.68 inc gift aid was raised!
